Katie has a dark traumatic secret that has impacted her life in various ways. When she meets Lucas, she wants things that she has hidden away. Now she needs to try and move forward with Lucas, if it's possible, or she'll alienate him and keep doing what she's been doing.
Katie has her moments, I have to say I wasn't a huge fan of hers, but I had to keep reading and learn about her past -- I'm a sucker for the psychological ;) Lucas isn't your typical jock. At times he's almost too sweet, but you can't do anything except love him.
If you like the New Adult genre, a book that has a bit of suspense mixed with its romance, and a story that deals with real human trauma and emotions, then Put Me Back Together is for you. Again, a great debut novel that Lola Rooney should be proud of. I can't wait to read more from her.
