First, it is highly, highly recommended that you read the first book in this series before picking up this one - Irresistible Desire. Inescapable Desire is a direct continuation and you will be missing some important pieces if you skip the first book. Since I did receive an ARC copy for review, the most I am going to say about grammar, spelling and such is that I sincerely hope that Ms. Jamie had a good editor before publishing.
I'm going to try and tell you what I liked and didn't without giving much of anything away in case you haven't read the first book ~ so please bear with me ;) The characters are very likable. Savannah seems to always land on her feet and keeps kicking. Kayden is a sweetheart - almost too sweet sometimes. Their friends are a good bunch, but we dont' see enough of them to get too much detail in this story. Kayden & Savannah's relationship is definitely combustable so be prepared for some steamy scenes when you pick this up.
The downsides for me with Inescapable Desire is there really didn't feel like enough drama / suspense. The story seemed very a day in the life of with a lot of everyday actions going on and not a lot of conflict. Don't get me wrong there is some and it ends on a big cliffhanger, but it just seemed like a lot of filler and character development to me for a second book.
I would recommend the series, again make sure to read it in order. I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens!
